The following are some of the heralds that the Seaboard Air Line Railway/Railroad used on its equipment.

The SAL began using heralds on its equipment in 1932.  The first herald (seen below) was 40" tall.  The first cars to receive it were the 40' ARA 17000-17999 series box cars.

This herald was the SAL Railroad's primary herald

This herald was used on some of SAL's Tri-Level Auto Racks

This herald was commonly used on SAL's truck trailers

This herald was used on some of SAL's Bi-Level Auto Racks
