SEMO Rails - Railroad Signals

November 13, 2006 SSW Insulators and Hardware

Today while out looking for a train I ran across a Cotton Belt Pole that had been leaning for some time. It finally struck the side of a train and fell down and was sawed up by UP and laid along the ROW. I saw it today and stripped it clean of its crossarm, Ohio Brass and CEECO Insulators, and its hardware.

The sawed up pole with 2 OB Insulators still hanging from that active code line along the UP Jonesboro Sub. at Bernie Siding.

The loot from today. Just one pole yielded this, not bad for a one arm pole and took a fall after being hit by a train. One OB Insulator was broken and the crossarm wasn't worth keeping since it was split in half after it's fall.
