Indo Spec

BB304 is the more powerful version of BB301. Indeed, when it was first introduced in 1976 it was the most powerful locomotive in Indonesia, before being superseded by the CC201 in 1977.

It's largely distinguishable by its larger radiator, and the absence of battery box (often mistaked as fuel tank by railfans) underneath its body.

Although originally intended for freight duties, the locos are often found working on passenger trains.

*Note: Later reengined with Siemens engine.
