Russ Downs - (on the left) was the owner of Downs Model Railroad for many years. His first products were re-paints of American Flyer shells. When the supply of shells dwindled, Russ bought blank shells from Lionel to repaint. Later, he manufactured his own products and created several lines of products - all of top-notch quality. Russ, a member of our club, has supported our organization through the years, and we thank him sincerely. Recently, Russ has retired (well, sort of) and he has sold his manufacturing business to Manheim Machine and Tool Company, Inc (also known as MMT Model Railroad). Marlin Becker III now produces Russ's products and has continued to support our club (for which we are most grateful.) We look forward to future products from Marlin and MMT Model Railroad.
