One way to promote model railroading - take a layout to where the kids are! |
The woman were only mildly interested in our layout until we started to describe making trees out of weeds and small twigs, and brush out of lichen. We also explained making mountains and painting the backdrops. You could see the interest level go up when we started bringing the idea of "family participation" in modeling to our guests.
