UPCOMING PROJECTS:
During the next several months, we would like to start working on some
new projects for the layout. We would like to have something new and complete
for the upcoming show season. We usually like to have something new
for each show so that people will come back. It also keeps up member interest
and there is always something new to add or try out. As you know, a model
railroad is never complete.
Here is a preview of what we will be adding:
1. We will expand the line between the 4H Fairgrounds and Rio Grande to include Wildwood Junction. This is where the line diverged east into the town of Wildwood, NJ. Passengers traveling into Wildwood would take in a day of sun and fun on the world famous Wildwood Beach & Boardwalk.
2. In the distance future, we will expand the line to include station stops of Cape May Court House, and Dennisville.
3. Long term goals include modeling the Harbor Branchline & Cape May Harbor. This is where the line diverged east, just south of Cape May Canal and Bridge, into Schellengers's Landing located at the edge of Cape May Harbor. Also included in these modeling plans is the branchline west to Cape May Point where Cape May Lighthouse is located.
4. We will also be watching the Cape May Seashore Lines for any new additions. Since our model railroad is a scale model of a real railroad, we like to keep it updated with the real thing since the era we modeled is current time.
