Strasburg Model Railroad Upcoming Projects

UPCOMING PROJECTS:
During the next several months, we would like to start working on some new projects for the layout. We would like to have something new and complete for the upcoming show season. We usually like to have something new for each show so that people will come back. It also keeps up member interest and there is always something new to add or try out. As you know, a model railroad is never complete.
Here is a preview of what we will be adding:
1. We will expand Leaman Place Junction from 12ft to 20ft by adding 2 new 4ft sections which include the PRR Mainline stone arch bridge and more catenary.
2. We will add the remaining lumber shed buildings at Leaman Place Junction by our scratchbuilding expert who is always willing to teach others the easy art of scratchbuilding.
3. We will add some detail in the Railroad Museum building such as the overhead observation walkway, engine pit, and cross over walkways as well as the new Railroad Musuem Education Center. As you can see, the model of the restoration shop has just been completed.
4. We will also be watching the Strasburg Railroad and Railroad Museum of PA for any new additions. Since our model railroad is a scale model of a real railroad, we like to keep it updated with the real thing since the era we modeled is current time.
5. We will add the new track of cabooses at the Red Caboose Motel. We will also add the Farmhouse, Barn, & Farm Animal Petting Zoo in the empty space shown in the picture below.
