Texas Railroad Sesquicentennial - Sesquicentennial Saturday

NAFTA Rail, illustrated. An eastbound Texas Mexican train becomes a KCS train as it changes crews upon arrival in Beaumont, Texas on September 6, 2003. The train, which originated in Mexico and entered the U.S. through the Laredo gateway, has been operating on trackage rights over Union Pacific -- with Texas Mexican crews -- since it left Tex-Mex rails in Robstown. Now with a KCS crew on board, the train enters KCS trackage as it resumes its eastward trip toward Jackson, MS.
