Trinity Railway Express - Dallas, TX
On September 22, 2000,
during the first week of Trinity's expanded service, a train of Amtrak equipment -- on
short-term lease to TRE -- rolls out of downtown Dallas.
Although this train was photographed operating with only the "stealth"
F40PH 399 -- and an Amtrak cab-control
car at the opposite end of the train -- the Amtrak train sets soon began operating with two
F40PH locomotives -- one at each end of the train. This equipment remained in service
on TRE through early 2001.
