On October 22, 2006, my son joined me for a trip to east Texas to
photograph the Texas State Railroad. Concerned that a shortage in State Parks
funding might force the TSRR to suspend operations at the end of 2006, we wanted to
get a few photos "just in case". Fortunately, at the time of this writing
in January 2007, the park continues to operate, and has secured enough funding
to operate at least through the month of August.
We hope you enjoy the photos, and please support the Texas State Railroad --
through patronage, donation, and by encouraging your elected officials to
allocate additional resources to the cash-starved Texas State Parks system.
