SUSSEX COUNTY RAILROAD CLUB MEETING, JANUARY 19,2008

Meeting opened at 8:17 by president John with a salute to the flag.

Minutes were read and accepted.

John reported that letters were sent to all previous year vendors for inviting to be at this year’s train show in May. He also stated that he e mailed to Railpace for placement of advertisement. He told members that if anyone was going to train show to contact him for flyers and bring them to the shows.

John asked for ideas to help boost attendance as last years show was not as well attended as previous. Suggestion presented for a $5.00 fee per family, discussion held, no immediate decision. Need to reach out to more people. Other newspapers will be contacted including the Pike County Pennsylvania papers and the Times Herald Record in Port Jervis, N.Y. as well as the newspapers of Bergen and Passaic counties in N.J. Suggestion also presented to have Service Electric program a video notice with the video taken at the last years show.

Announced East Rail for March 28th and that we were invited to participate.
 
Guest present were introduced to members.

Noel spoke about the fact that he, as a trustee of the Baptist Church, might be able to get use of a room in basement of church for a possible Christmas show. More to come about this idea.

Announcement about the Kingston Show to be held on April 6th in IBM complex.
