Growing up in Lambeth, Ontario, I always heard stories of the 'Traction Line' that ran through town. Lasting only 16 years, the London & Lake Erie Railway (formerly the South Western Traction Company) was nonetheless a significant line, despite its short life and small size (28 miles). Not as well known or documented as its older cousin (The London and Port Stanley Railway), I hope to remedy some of that with this site.
