These maps will help give you a visual idea of what I am talking about below, with the blue line representing the old WN&P main line and the red line representing the old Route 111: Aerial Map, Road Map. Since there is still snow on the ground I have not taken any pictures yet, but this stretch is near the top of my list for when spring rolls around.
The old Worcester, Nashua, & Portland Division is still buried under Route 111 as it enters into Windham. Right before Route 111 meets with Route 128 though, the right of way can be seen emerging on the left side of Route 111. The old rail bed crosses over Route 128 and heads back into the woods until it hits Anderson Road. West Windham Station, later called Anderson Station, was located somewhere in this vicinity. At some point the depot was moved from its original location, but sadly in 1999 it was destroyed in a controlled burn. To the north of the Anderson Road crossing the old right of way can be clearly seen. This is where I stopped searching for remains of the WN&P, because as far as I know it is pretty obvious where it runs from here until it meets Interstate 93.
