NEW STUFF!

Heading south into NS's Danville, KY  is a southbound freight.  The Kentucky Division (CNO&TP) has been renamed the Central Division by Norfolk Southern. Engine C39-8 # PRR 8200.
NS SD40-2 #3202
NS C39-8 #8566
This Southbound freight had High/Wide clearance shipments.  These shipments regularly show up on the Central Division Louisville Line and Second District.  most of the cars are flats with Caterpillar equipment as seen in this picture.
After the above train a set of light Engines came south into Danville Yard, pictured is NS SD40 #1600
With the 1600 was C40-9 "Top Hat" #8835.  The nickname refers to the air conditioning unit placed on the cab roof of the C40-9's
As I arrived in Danville on April 4th train 224 was departing as soon as I arrived, this train had 15 locomotives in the consist, one being BNSF SD45-2 #6502.
These next 5 photos were taken with my fathers digital camera, The resolution on this camera was low as well as the color quality, but I had to experiment with it!
CSX AC4400CW's #491 and #255 at TTI's Paris,KY yard after dropping off loaded coal cars for the TTI to haul to Maysville,KY.
At Carlisle, KY TTI has a Maintenance of way outpost as well as a storage track, where I found U28 #257 waiting for another days work.
North of Paris,KY is TTI's old Baldwin #9.  This loco is privately owned by the Kentucky Central who used to run excursions on the scenic TTI line until CSX bought a large chunk of TTI, henceforth the TTI inherited CSX's public excursion policies.
In Carlisle,KY is this old L&N depot on the TTI line.  There is street running here but only on the Maintenance storage track, so if one gets lucky on a certain day, they might catch a train coming in from a day of track work.
