Summerail at CUT (Cincinnati Union Terminal) was held on August 8, 1998. Our trip to Cincinnati from New Jersey went out via Youngstown, Ohio, and returned via Huntington/Kenova, West Virginia. Here are some results from that trip.

A westbound CSX freight with B36-7 5813 on the point rolls through Kent, Ohio, on August 5, 1998.

Tower A in Cincinnati Union Terminal is maintained by the Cincinnati Railroad Club. It gives a commanding view of CSX and Norfolk Southern action, such as this southbound NS stack train with Dash 9-40C 8786 arriving on August 6, 1998.

A CSX train with GP40-2 6357 leading has just finished crossing the Ohio River into Covington, Kentucky, on August. 6, 1998. The unofficial "Summmerail Presenters Tour" was gathered on this bridge, resulting in this scene being recorded by photographers like Joe McMillan, Ron Flanary, Bob Malinoski and Steve Patterson.
