Train Repairs

We frequently get inquiries about train repairs. The club doesn't offer a repair service and most of the hobby shops in Central Texas that offered repair services for O-Gauge trains have closed. If your train is still in the manufacturers warranty period the best thing to do is to send it back to the manufacturer for warranty repairs. If you do ship it back be sure to go overboard with the packaging. Double-boxing with a lot of shipping peanuts between the train box and the shipping box is a minimum. Pay extra for the shipping insurance. We do have some contacts that may be able to assist you. Most of the following numbers are not businesses but instead are private individuals who have been able to assist our membership at some time.

1. Duane Van Orman. He used to do some repair work for Craig Berry when the Collectible Caboose in Cedar Park was open. He lives up near Coppers Cove. 512-484-0018.

2. If you are willing to ship it off, this guy is good: Frank Timko Timko's Repair Depot 349 Grange Hall Rd. Beavercreek, OH 45430 Ph. 937-429-1461 http://timkorepairdepot.com

3. Ed Burshnick also repairs Lionel trains: 512-795-8862
