Bob Van Gelder described the area along the New York- Massachusetts border as "Looking the way America was before the Interstate Highway Act." Although this photograph was made in 2001, there is little, other than the Battenkill Railroad name that has changed since this engine was new, unless perhaps the tracks were less weedgrown back then in Cambridge, New York.Back
