N Scale Fitchburg & Southbridge

We started our adult model railroading in N scale. While visitng a shopping mall on a date, we discovered an N scale train set at a bargain price and purchased it. The trains were soon nailed to the floor of a spare apartment room and scraps of 2x4 became buildings. When the F&S was started, the structures were mostly built from paper and cardstock. Although crude by today's standards, we find these photos to be among our most interesting work. Needless to say, we married the girl and the N scale F&S was in operation until we moved into our second house. Many of its structures became part of the background of the HO F&S layout.
