First Daylight #2

First Daylight #2 In early 2005, Amtrak changed the schedule of the eastbound Sunset Limited. #2 would now depart LAUPT at 2:30pm as opposed to its longtime 10:30pm departure. This meant daylight photo opportunites of #2 through Southern California, something that had probaly never occured.

On March 9, 2005, the first daylight #2 departed LAUPT about 30 minutes late and It arrived Pomona at 4:00pm.

It is nice to be able to photograph another Amtrak train in daylight hours in Southern California.
