First Diesels

#614, a former Florida East Coast locomotive showed up at Michigan City in July 1979.
South Shore had a diesel shop switcher for a long time, but in the mid and late 1970's, new owner Chessie System transferred some of its older locomotives to the road, such as #1502 near Tremont.
