Port Authority of Allegheny County serves the greater Pittsburgh area. It operates buses, trolleys and light rail, inclines (funiculars), high-occupancy vehicle lanes, and paratransit. The trolley part of the system nearly disappeared over the years, but was rebuilt in 1984-1985.
