DuPage Train Show
Valley
Model Railroaders will have a portable
layout at the DuPage Train show. The
layout is HO scale, runs DCC (Digital
Command Control), and has working
signals. The public is welcome to run
trains on the layout. For more

Most Fridays of the
Month (8:00pm - 10:00pm)
Valley Model Railroaders of South Elgin,
IL will be working or running trains on
the layout. This is your chance to
operate trains on the club layout. The
Valley Model Railroad Club allows the
public to run trains on the club's layout
during this time using DCC. Please note
that layout is not available every Friday
due to layout improvements such as new
track and wiring. We ask that you make a
reservation before coming to run a train
to verify that the layout is available to
run and that we know you are coming. To

Please
note for those of you that have been
coming in the past; this use to be our
2nd and 4th Friday event. Since we are
constantly making major layout track and
wiring updates, the layout is not always
available for operating every 2nd and 4th
Friday. That is why we ask you to make a
reservation with the club to check that
the layout is operating order before
coming.
Scouts and
other group Events
The
Valley Model Railroad Club opens
their doors to Scouts,
Children’s Clubs and Church
groups. Participants get a tour
of the history of the building,
build a model train car kit, and
operate a train on the clubs
layout using DCC. The event can
also be customized for boy scouts
to earn the railroading merit
badge. For more information about
