Work on The Shop continues although I almost feel like today is gonna be a wasted day.  Ladder hooks for overhead storage of stuff like long wood and pipe worked out right nice.   Actually need to add a couple more for additional storage.  I have been putting stuff away as I move it to the new Shop so theres not a terrible load of clutter, really I think  the only things I have left  to move is some stuff that was under one of the benches.  Most of which will take a trip to LE Garb’age I suspect.

As suspected, mostly a wasted day.  I did make it to WalMart for some more storage drawers and extra ladder hooks.  A few more items got moved into The Shop today, not a whole lot remains to be moved.  I think a lot of it is mostly junk  now.  Hopefully the old Shop Room will be cleared tomorrow, and a good start made on the walk in closet.

Finally the new Shop is done and I can get back to work!  The next wooden hopper will prolly be the easiest thing to outshop and then I can officially retire the 20 series cars.  Having 3 40 series will more than make up for the loss of  4 20 series.

The flat bottom steel cars will be the next ones done, the rivets are going to be the tedious bits there, but not terribly hard.  Perhaps I need to make myself up a schedule and stick to itin 30 minute increments.

Got to do some work in The Shop yesterday evening. I fitted the doors on a wooden hopper, and assembled a set of trucks for the 2nd flat bottom hopper.  It hink I might need to make a priority list and start scheduling  my shop priorities to keep my attention focused on the task at hand.

Current Projects:

1.  Wood hopper 45
2.  Steel hopper 50
3.  Steel hopper 51
4. Wood hopper 44
5. Wood hopper 47
6.  Hopperbottom steel car
7.  Boxcar 307

Came to the conclusion this morning, that I need to reverse the direction of the RR.  What is now the interchange should be used as an industrial switching area and the Future Staging Yard should become the Main Yard.  Can use the current Main yard to service a coal tipple.  The other side of this is that the former Mine Yard can become a barge loadout , with the front sidewalk representing the river.

Quite possible that the amount of activity on this part of the layout will justify stationing a switch engine here.  Road engines bring the trains in, cut off and get turned and serviced while the switcher does the work.
