Mostly just piddled around today.  JRVP got the the hang of running No6, While I test ran No9.  Found some bad track in a coupla places that I'm going to fix tomorrow, and mebbe build and mount a few more switch stands.  Going to run trains with the JRVP after school tomorrow

I got the Dispatchers Board done today too.  Now I gotta come up with Train ORder/Manifest Paperwork.  Don't know if I'm going to use the same stuff for the switchers as I do the mainline trains or not.

Got a freight conductors report using an original BC&G form.  Using that for Mainline trains and I modified my original switch list for use by the yard goats.

Discovered some damage from Hurrican Ivan, A lot of washing in Summit Curve and the Junction Switch not sure if I'm gonna reballast that sction or relay the curve, switch, and start on the Port Lavender Line.

I beleive that I need three more boxcars at this point, one has been under construction for over a year similar to the 306.  I think the other two might be outside braced cars and perhaps flatcar rebuilds.  Just different enough to be interesting.  I really don;t need anymore hoppers until th Port Lavender line is rebuilt, so I'll just use the 40 series cars I already have and put the other two on hold.

I think that I'll clean up The Shop after dinner tonight, and repair the flatcar that got wrecked, then maybe I'll look at doing something to Boxcar 307.

Looks like I need to spend some quality time with the tablesaw in the next little bit.  Guess I need to work up a saw list and count wheels.  There are three flatcars missing; 100,101,102.  Maybe I can stretch that to include 110 and 111 as well.  Out of a dozen flats two were built into boxes and three were built into tanks.  Maybe even  the flats retained their numbers with a new number on the tank itself.  Total of 5 new cars, plus a new cabin.

Reviewed how many metal wheelsets I have left at lunch today, looks like I have enough wheels for  9 more cars 11 if I decide o go on with the 50 series hoppers that I started.  So finishing  the 307 will take one set, then th two boxcars will make three, then three tankcars is 6 leaving 6 more cars worth of wheels, one of which needs to be a new cabin and another a new combine.  I thought I might build a new cabin on the old Combine 02 chasis and frame if theres a new piece of varnish to replace it.

I beleive that I'll ballast the curve and the junction switch.  They are actually in pretty good shape, just shifting around in the ballast, or lack thereof.  Going to clan up The Shop a tad this evening so I'll be able to work on the 307 when the opportunity arises.  After that I think  2 more boxes will be in order, then I'll start thinking on the tanks.  Need to pick up something to make piploads out of this weekend.  I wanns cut wood for new car frames Monday and stock to make lumber loads.  Think it will just be crossties for now.

Did some switching around of radio gear last night.  I put No7 and No8 on the same TX, I still have a loose wire somewher ein No8 going to the motor, but that shouldn;t be too hard to fix.  I removed the dummy rear truck off of it as well for modifications.  Oddly enough I put No8s balky radio RX into No6 where it works just fine.  Very intolerant of less than level track.  Ran No8 all the way to Anns Creek, spun her on the turntable and brought her back.  Lotsa fun!

Made some modifications to No8's dummy truck so that it rides just a tad higher and it successfully negotiated the Yard turnouts and the curve!  Fixed the short too, when I went birdogging the problems last I untaped all the wiring connections and forgot to tape up   a splice that was shorting out on the drawbar or metal apron between cab and tenders
