    Decided to dust off the 0-6-0 project and get back to it.  Began cutting the cab sides and ends from .040 styrene.

    

    The wrapper was cut from .001 styrene sheet using a paper template.  The rivets were embossed on the rear of the sheet with a pounce wheel.  Doorframes were made from strips of .001 styrene and the rolled metal was simulated using .030 rod.

    Running boards were made from .040 1/4" space scribeed styrene siding and strips of .001 styrene

    Same techniques used to build larger tenders work in O scale too.  In this case a slope backed switch locomotive tender.
