The Weekend of the East Coast Large Scale Train Show in York, PA usually marks the start of the Spring Building Season for me, but due to real world circumstances this year I didn't get to attend. Over the last week I have been reflecting and thinking and have concluded that my Personal Journy of 7/8 scale is at an end.  I have really done nothing in the last year and the last two projects I started have languished far too long in an unfinished state.  I therefore proclaim myself a practitioner of 1:20.3 scale, 3 ft narrow gauge.

This switch should solve some theme/execution issues I've been wrestling with , as well as make a major impact in storage and staging, as well as scratchbuilding being less resource intensive.  I will retain my locomotive fleet, as they were a bit anemic by 7/8 standards.  Just a relatively minor redetailing effort.

There are going to be somme changes as far as this chronical of my activities is concerned as well.  Instead of attempting to keep documenting progress in three seperate forums, I'm combining all the progress reports found in "Timetable Notes", "Under Construction", and "The Shops" into one Blog called "Maintenance of Way".  Final documentation of modeling projects will be posted at their conclusion in The Shops area.  The older material in these journals will be kept as 'archive material'  I still like to go back and reflect on it......

Spring of 2007 looks to be an interesting time for the Western Consolidated Lines.
