The Gananoque station one was taken in August of 2000, and it's one of the few trains that still stop there. The station was built by the Grand Trunk Railway in 1901. It was renovated by VIA rail in 1986.
This picture from Cataraqui (Kingston) was taken from the Montreal Street overpass over the CN mainline between Toronto and Montreal. The VIA train is headed east bound and the river in the background is the Cataraqui river. It is part of the Rideau Canal.
"Ottawa Central family Day" in October 2002. The engine was giving cab rides and the brakeman would stay on the engine running board or platform to help keep an eye on things as the engine backed up to where the people were loaded and unloaded.
Both locomotives are ALCO RS-18's.
