Western Pacific FP7 805-A was built on January 25th, 1950 (SN 9004) to supplement the small fleet of F3's that WP purchased in 1947 for the new California Zephyr. 805 continued it's daily service on the CZ until the end of passenger service in 1970. After that it worked various freight assignments until it was traded in to GE in September 1972. The unit was later sold to Wellsville, Addison & Galeton in Pennsylvania, later going to sister operation Louisiana & North West  in 1976 as #49. Members of the Feather River Historical Society in Portola purchased the 805 from L&NW during the early 90's and promptly gave her a cosmetic restoration. Work continues on a full mechanical restoration and hopefully someday we will see her once again return to the mainline for future CZ excursions.
