This web page has its origins in stev knowles' requests on the Diesel Modeler's List for roof shots of the NS "Top Hats". I had a couple that I emailed them to him, he thanked me publicly and from there others asked the same question for different units. I am fortunate in that I have a place here in Raleigh NC where the trains are just crawling under a bridge that has wide sidewalks. I can stand up there and shoot roof shots to my heart's content.
