- Meetings
The Society hosts regular membership meetings and programs at the
Vestal Public Library,
320 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal, NY 13850. Meetings are generally held in the Lecture Room
at that facility, on the evenings of the second Thursday of each month, September through
June. Doors open at 7 pm and the program starts about 8 pm. Bad weather may cause the Vestal Library
to be closed on a meeting night. When marginal road conditions are forecast or exist, please contact
the library at 607-754-4243 before venturing out.
2013 UPCOMING CHAPTER MEETINGS
- Thursday, March 14, 2013
The program will be a DVD Before the Hyphen by Revelation Video. Program covers rare
footage on Lackawanna, Erie, and Erie-Lackawanna with Triple Cities activity; plus footage of Owego
and the Narrows Road, paralleling the DL&W between Nichols & Owego. Some extra footage shows some Elmira area
PRR (steam); steam on Horseshoe Curve; WAG, B&H, Rail City; Erie, plus lots more.

The SVRHS is always looking for volunteers to put on a program at one of our meetings.
Programs can be anything railroad or railroad related using, for example, slides, narration,
speaker informational, speaker educational, or video. The Chapter has available
several media devices for use in presenting programs.
