- Meetings
Except as noted, the Society hosts regular meetings at the Vestal Museum, located at 328 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal, NY. Meetings are generally held in the Meeting Room at that facility, on the evenings of the 2nd Thursday of each month (except January, February and June through August). Doors open at 6:00 pm and the announcements and program start about 7:00 pm.
The public is welcome as our meetings are open to everyone, members as well as non-members.

- September 10, 2026 - Slides and stories presented by Tom McEnteer
- October 8, 2026 - SVRHS ANNUAL MEETING of the Membership and FINAL MEETING of the 2026 BOARD of MANAGERS. This will be held at our normally scheduled SVRHS General Meeting time. Following a short Annual Meeting, a regular program is scheduled on Railroad Dining Car China of the Southern Tier Lines will be presented by Nate Kaiser. This will be a PowerPoint on China patterns used on the lines of the D&H, DL&W, Erie, LV and other various relations.
- November 12, 2026 - Conrail and local interest presented by Ben Martin

The SVRHS is always looking for volunteers to present a program at one of our meetings.
Programs can be anything railroad related using, for example, slides, narration,
speaker informational, speaker educational, or video. The Chapter has available
several media devices for use in presenting programs.
