More Great Photos Taken Throughout This Amazing Journey
When you take a trip this big, and take nearly 3000 pictures as I did (of course not all of them made it into the travelogue but that sometimes is necessary to ensure you get what you really want, into the final product), there are bound to be photos you would want to include but don't fit a specific other category of the travelogue. Those photos will be shown here! From the four rental cars I had to the five hotels I stayed at to other interesting things along the way, this page will show interesting photos from a trip I'll never forget. Enjoy...
A 2015 Hyundai Sonata which was my rental car while in Ohio to go to Cedar Point and is seen here at the Fostoria Iron Triangle Railfan Park.

The Fairfield Inn By Marriott In Sandusky, OH. My hotel for when I visited Cedar Point and Fostoria this year. I'm a Marriott Rewards member
so I prefer to stay at Marriott-branded hotels whenever possible!

My hotel while in the Washington, DC area was the Courtyard By Marriott Dulles Airport-Chantilly Hotel located in Chantilly, VA.

While riding in the hotel's shuttle van (no I was NOT driving when I got this picture, never take pictures while driving, it's not safe), I saw this sign for
"Frying Pan Road" in Chantilly, VA. Whoever named this street was either a chef, really hungry, or just wanted to be goofy maybe???

Washington-Dulles International Airport in Chantilly, VA.

A 2015 Chevrolet Malibu which was my rental car while in Florida to see the Space Shuttle Atlantis at the Kennedy Space Center. I rented it in Orlando.

The Courtyard By Marriott Orlando East/UCF Area Hotel which was my hotel while in Orlando so as to go see Space Shuttle Atlantis at the
Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. And no, unfortunately that beautiful Mercedes-Benz in front of the hotel isn't mine, bummer!

OK the bottom sign makes sense, but the top one really peaked my curiosity! This was posted outside my hotel in Orlando, FL so my first thought
was "gators?". Well I didn't see any alligators but there were some interesting looking birds in the area!

This must be the wildlife that sign was talking about, and a very poor attempt on my part at "nature photography"!

A 2015 Nissan Altima which was my rental car in Los Angeles when I went to see Space Shuttle Endeavour. For unknown reasons, it had
Nevada plates on it though I rented it at LAX Airport.

The SpringHill Suites By Marriott in Hawthorne, CA which was my hotel while in town to see Space Shuttle Endeavour in Los Angeles.

Sometimes things just fall together and you end up getting an interesting photo out of it! This sign showing where the Amtrak Thruway Bus stops
at the San Luis Obispo, CA station is an example when pared up with the Surfliner train in the background and that palm tree as well. I don't know,
I thought this looked kind of interesting. I took this photo while on the bus waiting to depart SLO for San Jose.

On the bus ride to San Jose, we had a meal stop at a McDonald's in King City, CA.

A 2014 Nissan Rogue which was my rental car for being in Napa Valley to ride the Wine Train.

The Courtyard By Marriott Hotel in Vacaville, CA which was my hotel for the time I was in the area to ride the Wine Train.

One of the two "mechanical birds" that would bring me back to Buffalo at the end of this trip. This is a JetBlue Airways Airbus A-320 as seen
from the San Francisco International Airport. I would fly to Boston in this plane and on another A-320 to Buffalo.
