July 23rd-25th, 2000 - Deleted Scenes

During the most recent redesign of this travelogue in July 2006, I came across several photos left in this travelogue that were never displayed along with the travelogue. Just exactly how this happened, I have absolutely no idea, but regardless, the photos are here now for all to enjoy. I guess I could call them "Deleted Scenes" like you find as bonus features on a DVD. Below are 15 photos I took on this trip back in 2000 that are shown within this travelogue now for the first time, enjoy...
Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited - Train #48 with P42DC #30 on the lead seen in Albany.
Amtrak F40PHR #406 in Phase IV paint. Over the next few years after this photo was taken, these workhorses, at one time Amtrak's main power source would be retired in favor of P40's and P42's from GE. This unit was on Train #48 when it arrived in Albany.
P32AC-DM #700 in it's As-Delivered Phase III Paint sitting in the yard at Albany-Rensselaer.
Running light is F40PHR #247 sporting a "reversed" Amtrak logo on the nose in white.
P32AC-DM #707 on Train #283 stopped for service.
Amtrak Amfleet I Coach #82009 painted up for what was to be re-branded "Acela Regional Service", thankfully, this tacky paint scheme didn't last long on these cars and today is only on the Acela Express equipment where it actually looks good. The coach is seen in Albany on an Empire Service Train.
One of the last Heritage Coaches in service, Coach #7606 marks up the end of an Empire Service Train.
P32AC-DM #707 having some service work done at Albany-Rensselaer.
Amtrak Train #283 in a wide shot just departing from Albany.
One of the only Turboliner Train Sets that was in service earlier this decade with Power Car #159 leading.
F40PHR #308, the trailing unit on The Lake Shore Limited this day.
A former Conrail GP38-2 in "Operation Lifesaver" paint, renumbered as NS #5290. This unit is former Conrail #8102 and was photographed in Sandusky, OH near the Amtrak Station there on July 25th, 2000.
Norfolk Southern High-Nose SD40 #3195 also seen in Sandusky, OH.
Cedar Point's Millennium Force Roller Coaster sign, this ride is nothing short of amazing!!!
Finally, another photo of Millennium Force as seen the year it opened in 2000. This is at the end of the ride where there is a steeply banked curve before you come to the loading platform.
