The Durango & Silverton Narrow Guage Railroad dates back to 1892 with the discovery of "silver-by-the-the-ton" in SW Colorado at the town now named Silverton. The DSNG now operates up to 3 tourist trains a day on the 100 mile round trip from Durango to Silverton, CO.
