The Illinois Central (IC) dates back to 1851.  They served the midwest to the Gulf of Mexico. The Operation Lifesaver logo on the locomotives is a nice touch on an otherwise uninspiring paint scheme; and very difficult to photograph.  IC was acquired by CN in 1999.  Please note, none of  these are black and white photos!
