NS 2606
NS 2606, one of NS's newer SD-70s and sporting the newest paint scheme from NS. (The horse head in the logo on the side of the engine is the new part of the classic black and white scheme.)

This was my first time seeing this new scheme and I wanted to check it out a bit more, but of course it got buried inside the yard and I wasn't able to get anything else. Oh well, I was just happy to see it.
It became apparent that UP intended to send some of the trains in the yard westward soon as crews were beginning to arrive and there was an increase in radio chatter. I decided to head out toward Lake Point (which was a goal of mine today) and see what I could find. More importantly I wanted to catch as much heading into the setting sun since the day would be winding down shortly.
