Welcome to the Internet Home of the Cleveland and Eastern Interurban Historical Society and Museum. We are a non-profit group dedicated to the preservation of artifacts and materials relating to Northeast Ohio's Interurban Railways. Our goal is to educate the public about this fascinating part of Ohio's transportation history.
Take a tour of our site to learn more about this bygone era and the electric railways that helped to shape Geauga County. Also featured are selections of historical photographs and documents from our collection, as well as information about our group and its activities.
When you're in the Cleveland area be sure to visit our Museum located in the basement of the historic 1850 Town Hall at the Chesterland Historical Foundation, located at the corner of Caves and Mayfield Road in Chesterland, Ohio. We're open the first Sunday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. Guests are also welcome at our regular monthly meetings, which are held at 7:00 P.M. on the first Thursday of each month at the Museum.
Also visit the Chesterland Historical Foundation's Calendar page for a schedule of Special Events.
