Welcome to the Internet Home of the Cleveland and Eastern Interurban Historical Society and Museum. We are a non-profit group dedicated to the preservation of artifacts and materials relating to Northeast Ohio's Interurban Railways. Our goal is to educate the public about this fascinating part of Ohio's transportation history.
Take a tour of our site to learn more about this bygone era and the electric railways that helped to shape Geauga County. Also featured are selections of historical photographs and documents from our collection, as well as information about our group and its activities.
When you're in the Cleveland area be sure to visit our Museum located at the Chesterland Historical Foundation at the corner of Caves and Mayfield Road in Chesterland, Ohio. We're in the basement of the historic 1850 Town Hall. Visit the Foundation's 2013 Events Calendar page for dates and events.
Guests are also welcome at our regular monthly meetings, which are held at 7:45 P.M. on the first Thursday of each month at the Chardon Chamber of Commerce office at 111 South Street. Visit our
