CWMR has been attending train shows with its modular layouts since fall of 1987. Two annual events we always attend are Waupaca Model Railroad Club's annual Strawberry Fest and Marshfield's Hub City Model Railroad Club's annual show. We've also been involved with NMRA Division and National meets.
The City of Waupaca has an annual Strawberry Fest held the Saturday before Father's Day in June. The Waupaca Model Railroad Club has a Saturday and Sunday show held in conjunction with this civic event. This has turned into the area's largest train show.
The Hub City Model Railroad Club has a train show in late October.
Not to be outdone, CWMR has had a winter train show either in Plover or Stevens Point for about 15 years. After the Mall in Plover Wi closed we went to Center Point Market Place and since 1996 the Arctic Run has been held each January.

Division Meets
CWMR has hosted several Division level meets. We are located in the Winnebagoland Division of the NMRA.
Our first Division Meet was held April 16, 1988, our first anniversary! Here is a photo of the group and two of our layout at that time.

NMRA National Meet
The NMRA National Meet was held in Madison Wi during the summer of 1997. One of the tours offered was a trip to Stevens Point to see the Wisconsin Central Ltd.'s roundhouse and yards located here. As part of the package a tour of Don Kottke's home layout and lunch at our clubhouse was included. See photos.
