Luke returned to the Klamath Northern on Wednesday, 20 September, to follow the railroad as it went about its business. On this day the #207 hauled seven loaded centerbeams out to the interchange and returned to Gilchrist with ten empty centerbeams, after which the crew spent some time switching the mill before putting the locomotive away for the day. The railroad is not hauling any woodchips at the moment, though Nieman is trying to work out contracts for such shipments to several paper mills. |
