There has probably been a long delay between the time you requested your access codes and the time you received them. It
may have been days or even weeks from the time that you requested them. We apologize for the delay. TrainWeb has a very
large backlog of e-mail and a very small staff. In order to keep the hosting of websites free at TrainWeb.org, we can not
expand our small staff at this time.
We are working to add a feature that will automate the retrieval of lost passwords. That feature will be allow you
to retrieve a lost password within a matter of minutes. On request, it will send your access codes to the e-mail address
that we have on file for you. If your e-mail address has changed, please
click here to send us your new e-mail address. Be sure
to mention your www.trainweb.org/... website address, your old e-mail address and your new e-mail address.
We are seeking at least one unpaid volunteer to help out with the rail related websites hosted free at TrainWeb.org .
For now, we can only consider a volunteer that lives within driving distance of our office in Fullerton, California and
would be able to provide up to four hours of help each week at their home or our office. The volunteer should have enough
technical knowledge to be able to help webmasters use FTP to access and upload pages to their websites hosted at
TrainWeb.org for the first time. The volunteer will provide this help via e-mail, forums, and phone. TrainWeb will
cover telephone costs.
Until the automatic lost password recovery feature becomes available, this volunteer will also answer requests for lost
passwords so that we can respond to those requests in a more timely manner.
If you live near Fullerton and would like to volunteer, please click here.
