About The Layout

Our layout has been in the same location for 50 years. There have been changes, such as the addition of staging yards and rebuilding of scenery.

There are four different railroads represented on our club layout. The main railroad is the Ohio and Western Railroad. There is also a three-foot narrow gauge railroad called the Crooked Creek Railroad. Our traction line is the Midwest Valley Traction Lines, as well as a small switching road adjacent to South Yard.

The focus of the photo tour is on the O&W, but there will be sections added to the page about the rest soon.

The photo above is one of the new scenery projects in progress on the layout. It involved tearing out old plaster and screen scenery and replacing it with lightweight Styrofoam and Sculptamold. It has a removable section to get to additional staging that is below this area. As you can tell, there is plenty of work that remains. Click on the image above to start your tour of our layout.
