Rail America/Railink

Goderich & Exeter

This was Ontario's first modern era shortline spinoff. Its pioneer effort resulted in a long delay getting into operation. Rail America bought April 3,1992 the CN branches Goderich Sub. from Stratford to Goderich 46 miles and Exeter Sub. Clinton
to Centralia 24 miles. A major expansion of their operation took place November 15, 1998 with the lease of CN Guelph Sub. from Silver (near Georgetown) to London 90 miles (plus several spurs) and running rights into MacMillan Yard Toronto.
