Locomotives

1200 series S-2's and S-4's

1200, 1201, and 1202 built by ALCO in 1946 as S-2's. Sold to International Mineral and Chemical in 1973.

1203 built by MLW in 1950 as an S-4. Sold to Abitibi Price in 1973, since renumbered to 90. 

 

1300 series RS-3's

1300 and 1301 built in 1949 by ALCO as RS-2's,later rebuilt as RS-3's. Retired in 1970 and 1971. 

1302 and 1303 built in 1950 by MLW as RS-2's, later rebuilt as RS-3's. Both wrecked and retired in 1965.

1304 and 1305 built in 1951 by MLW as RS-3's. Retired in 1965 and 1971.

1306 and 1308 built in 1951 by MLW as RS-3's. Rebuilt by MLW. Retired in 1985. Scrapped in 1997/1996.

1307, 1309, 1311 built in 1951 by MLW as RS-3's. Scrapped 1971, 1973, and 1971 respectively.

1310 built in 1951 by MLW as an RS-3. Rebuilt by MLW. Sold to Abitibi Price in 1985, then York Durham in 1995.

 

1400 series RS10's

1400 and 1401 built in 1955 by MLW as RS10's, later rebuilt by MLW. Retired in 1985. 1400 to Canadian Railway Museum in 1998, 1401 scrapped in 1996.

1402 and 1403 built in 1957 by MLW as RS10's. Both were retired in 1973.

 

1500's

1500, 1503, 1504, 1505, 1507, 1511, 1512, 1513, 1514 (GMD FP7A, 1951-1953) to GO Transet APCU's in 1976.

(GO 905, 900, 907, 901, 902, 906, 903, 904, 908 respectively)

1501, 1510, 1518, 1519 (GMD FP7A, 1951-1953) rebuilt as FP7Am's for Northlander (ex-TEE set) service in 1979.

1502, 1509, 1521 (GMD FP7A, 1951-1953) rebuilt as FP7Au's (See 2000 series units)

1506, 1516 (GMD FP7A, 1952, 1953) retired in 1965.

1508, 1515, 1517, 1520 (GMD FP7A 1952, 1953) retired between 1985-1998. 

(1517 wrecked 1991, scrapped on site. 1520 scrapped June 2005. 1501 on display in North Bay) 

 

1600's

1600 and 1601 built by GMD as GP9's in July 1956. Serial numbers A886-A887. Both active.

1602-1605 built by GMD as GP9's in January 1957. Serial numbers A1060-A1063. All active. 

Note: 1600 and 1604 were rebuilt with chopped short hoods in the late 1970's. 

 

1730's

1730-1734 built in March 1973 by GMD as SD40-2's. Serial numbers A2844-A2848. 

1735-1737 Built in January 1974 by GMD as SD40-2's. Serial numbers A2942-A2944. 

1732 wrecked in 1996, retired in 2001. Awaiting scrapping as of July 2005.

1731 and 1736 sold to Progress Rail (PRSX) October 2005. 

 

 

1800's

1800-1803 built in November 1974 by GMD as GP38-2's. Serial numbers A3109-A3112.

1804-1807 built in November 1982 by GMD as GP38-2's. Serial numbers A4284-A4287.

1808-1809 built in September 1984 by GMD as GP38-2's. Serial numbers A4427-A4428.

1807 wrecked in 1996, and scrapped in 2000. 

1803 currently stored unservicable, presumably awaiting scrapping. 

 

 

1900's

 

1900-1903 (Werkspoor 'TEE' 1957) renumbered to 1980-1983. All retired in 1980, later scrapped.

1984, 1985, 1987 (GMD/ONR FP7Am 1951-1952) retired in 1993.

1986 (GMD/ONR FP7Am 1951) renumbered to original # (1501) in 1992 before retirement.

 

2000's

Rebuilt as FP7Au's from FP7A's by ONR. 2000 (nee- 1502) serial A176 rebuilt in 1994. 2001 (nee-1509) serial A380 rebuilt in 1996. 2002 (nee-1521) serial A532 rebuilt in 1997. Units had original 567 prime movers replaced with Caterpillar 3516's. Were taken out of service in late 2003/early 2004. Pending sale as of July 2005. 

2100's

Built in 1999 by GMD (Alstom) as SD75I's. Serial numbers 976808-1 -976808-6

2200's

Built by EMD in December 1977 as GP40-2's for B&M Rwy. (later GTI and HATX) Serial numbers: 2200 776025-12,

 2201 776025-1, 2202 776025-5.
