The modules are built on a frame of 25.4mm² aluminium square tubing.  The sections of tubing are connected by plastic joiners designed for the purpose.  Each module is designed to accommodate standard plywood sheets as sold in major hardware supply outlets.  Plywood sheets are not required to be cut while the MDF at time of writing was sold in imperial; not metric sizes, and requires a small amount of material to be removed.

Standard sizes of plywood top panels are:       1200mm x 600mm x 3mm.

Standard sizes of plywood bottom panels are: 1200mm x 600mm x 7mm.

Standard size of the  back scene panel is:         1219mm x 457mm x 3mm; (48" x 18" x 3mm), MDF for a smooth finish).

Lights are 20W 12V Halogen Globes (no reflector)

Dark blue object is 60W 12V Switch mode power supply for the Halogen lights (selected for their low weight).
