"Canadian Pacific Railway Train Dispatchers' Join Telegraphers' In Strike"
Announced 07 October 1896

The strike by Canadian Pacific Railway telegraphers now includes the
Train Dispatchers for the national railway. The train dispatchers have
now added their own grievances to the list generated by the telegraphers,
	station agents and operators.

The report that the strike had interrupted train and commercial traffic
across the country is untrue. Mr EV Skinner, General Eastern Agent of
the Canadian Pacific Company stated that passenger and freight trains
were running regularly and keeping to schedule. Areas where there were
no railway operators or dispatchers were being filled without incident.
