Pay Increase for CPR Operators


The Canadian Pacific Railway has made an pay increase to all telegraph
operators.  The increase will amount to 12 1/2 per cent.  This is 4 1/2 
cents higher than the AT & SFe at only 8 per cent.

Pay Increase for GTR Operators


Based on the findings of the Arbitration Board, telegraph operators on the
Grand Trunk Railway System of Canada [sic] will receive an increase of
salary of about 10 per cent and aggregating $27,000 yearly.  This refers
to regular operators and agents; about $10,000 will be added to the pay
of telegraphers in the higher grades.
