Article Ninety-One
Announced 01 August 1912
George C Hinton and Company, an electrical firm in Vancouver, British Columbia, has
successfully been awarded the contract to erect a telegraph and telephone circuit from
Vancouver to Powell River.  The contract, let by the Canadian government which owns the
line, will cover a distance of 100 miles. The contract also allows for 18 miles of
cable and 82 miles of overhead copper line.
