Notes: The window pattern would seem to indicate that the SC-2 is identical to the SC-1. However, during my tour of the facility, we were unable to get inside the SC-2, so I have no photos of the interior.

Like the other cars, the SC-2 was built for a previous project (probably the Marlboro Unlimited) and has never been used. At present, I am told that the interior is completely blank. But as stated previously, I would expect that in a finished state, the car would be identical in layout to the SC-1.

While it is possible that the car may see service on the Golden Eagle in the future, it is not presently being used for any purpose that I am aware of. Like the other shop cars, the SC-2 is sans trucks, drawbars, electrical system and under car appliances.

One sidebar about the shop domes is that their unfinished exteriors afford a very interesting look at the side structure of the cars. I am told that it pretty thoroughly represents the construction of all the ultradome cars. Shades of the side structure can be seen by looking at the weld and finish marks on the exterior skin in the photos of Rocky Mountaineer 9523 taken during construction.
