Desert Wind (Los Angeles, CA - Chicago, IL) was discontinued on May 10, 1997.  The train served Las Vegas, NV.  The station was located at Plaza Hotel (back side of the hotel).  No passenger train comes to Las Vegas today, but Amtrak plans to operate new trains (Targo Train) between Los Angeles, CA and Las Vegas, NV.
