Williamsville Depot Restoration - Update April 2007
by Joe Kocsis
Over the winter, the crew at Williamsville has made some extraordinary progress at the Depot. The west interior wall is now completely resided with new wainscotting from floor to ceiling. Don Wood has continued to build new double hung, "thermopane" windows for the front of the depot and they look great! Two have been recently installed and the pictures below clearly show the difference. The second window was opened up for the first time in over 50 years! As more windows are made, the fake painted plywood windows will be removed to let the sun shine in!

Another project that was completed was the reconstruction of the old Railway Express Baggage Cart. It is now displayed outside the Depot. Originally donated to the Society by Devan Lawton many years ago, new wood, iron repair and paint, the cart looks like new again!
