Ferrymead Park Operates Another Successful Easter Weekend

6/4/2002

The 2002 Easter holiday weekend saw another successful festival operation by Ferrymead Heritage Park. As in 2001, the main theme of the weekend was centered around a performance of "The Wind in The Willows" by seasoned local actor Mark Hadlow. As the weather was also good on the two days that this play ran, public attendances were also good and are understood to have totalled several thousand.

The Ferrymead Railway operated one train on Friday 29th March and two trains on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st March. Train running on Monday 1st April was cancelled due to surface flooding within the Park and a lack of public patronage.
